What would you like to know?

01

Compounding

Preparation, availability, and prescription timing.

What is a compounded medication?

A medication prepared for one patient, to a prescriber's formula, rather than manufactured in fixed strengths. It exists for situations an off-the-shelf product cannot cover: an allergy to an inactive ingredient, a strength that is not commercially made, or a different dosage form. The longer explanation.

Are compounded medications FDA-approved?

Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. Instead, they are prepared by licensed pharmacies to meet specific patient needs when appropriate and prescribed by an authorized healthcare provider.

Compounding pharmacies operate under applicable federal and state laws and are regulated by state boards of pharmacy. At Peak Pharmacy, we are committed to preparing compounded medications according to established quality and safety standards.

Is a compounded medication the same as a generic?

No. A generic medication is an FDA-approved manufactured drug that is equivalent to its brand-name counterpart. A compounded medication is specially prepared by a licensed pharmacy based on a prescription to meet a patient’s specific needs. It is not considered a generic or an FDA-approved equivalent of a commercially available drug.

How long does a compounded prescription take?

Most compounded prescriptions are prepared within 24–72 hours. Turnaround time may vary depending on the medication, formulation, and availability of ingredients. Our pharmacy team will provide an accurate estimated completion date and keep you informed throughout the process.

Can I get peptides from you right now?

Some peptide-related options are available now. Current GLP-1 options are listed under Weight Management, and current sermorelin acetate injection is listed under Health & Wellness. Both require a valid prescription and pharmacy confirmation. Only BPC-157, KPV, TB-500, MOTS-c, Semax, and Epitalon are marked Coming Soon, and no availability date has been announced.

02

Telehealth

The clinic visit, provider decisions, and your choice of pharmacy.

Who actually sees my intake?

Your intake is reviewed directly by licensed healthcare providers at our independent telehealth partner clinic. Peak Pharmacy does not review your intake or collect payment for your telehealth visit. Before leaving the Peak Pharmacy website, you’ll be clearly notified that you are being directed to our partner clinic to continue your consultation.

Will I definitely get a prescription?

No. An intake does not guarantee a prescription. A licensed provider reviews your information and decides whether treatment is appropriate. They may prescribe something, ask for more information first, or decide that treatment is not appropriate for you. All three are normal.

Do I have to use Peak if I get a prescription?

No. The choice of pharmacy is always yours under Florida law, and nobody at the clinic or the pharmacy can make it for you.

Is the intake available in Spanish?

The medical intake is currently conducted in English. Our pharmacy staff speak Spanish, and the main pages of this site are available in Spanish, so please call us if you would like help understanding any part of the process.

Do you take my insurance?

We accept most major insurance plans for traditional prescriptions. Coverage for compounded medications varies by plan and may be limited or excluded. We’ll review your coverage and let you know your out-of-pocket cost before your prescription is filled, so there are no surprises.

Can I transfer my prescriptions to you?

Yes! We make transferring easy. Simply provide your name and phone number, and our pharmacy team will contact you and coordinate the transfer directly with your current pharmacy. We handle the rest for you.

Do you speak Spanish?

Yes. Ask for whichever language you are more comfortable in, particularly for medication instructions.

Sí. Hablamos español, especialmente para explicarle cómo tomar su medicamento.

Why do your forms not ask which medication I take?

We take your privacy seriously. Rather than asking you to enter medication information into a standard website form, we collect only the basic information needed to contact you. A member of our pharmacy team will then call you to securely discuss your medications and health information.

This helps keep sensitive medication information where it belongs: between you and your pharmacy team.

What additional notices or information should I be aware of?

Prescription & Medication Notice

Peak Pharmacy does not promote or advertise controlled substances. Medication and treatment decisions are made independently by a licensed healthcare provider based on each patient’s individual medical needs.

All prescriptions are subject to applicable federal and state requirements, pharmacist review, and verification before dispensing. Telehealth consultation does not guarantee that a prescription will be issued or filled.
